Generating In-game assets

Morphic lets you create a Style Reference to maintain visual consistency and generate assets using its AI capabilities for use in your game design and development pipeline.

Here's a quick tutorial on how to generate in-game assets on Morphic:

  1. Once your Style Reference is ready, open a new file on Morphic
  2. In the prompt bar, describe the type of asset you want to generate
  3. Click the “Add saved reference” icon in the prompt bar and select your Style Reference to match your game’s visual style
  4. Click the blue button in the prompt bar to create your assets
  5. Choose the generated asset you’d like to use in your game
  6. To change part of the asset, such as its background, select the image and choose the Region selection tool, or Guided selection to draw a freeform outline
  7. Drag over the area you want to change, for example the background around a gun, sword, or truck
  8. Describe the change in the prompt bar, such as a plain white background, then click the blue button. See Inpainting for more on targeted edits
  9. Export the assets in your preferred format (currently, we support PNG, JPEG, or WebP)

That’s how you generate in-game assets, refine them with targeted edits, and export them for use in your project.
