Land the first mouthful
One loud pull on the noodles hands the moment its punchline, and it works the same in a cooking reel, a comedy short or an animated dinner.

Slurp
Every kind of slurp an edit needs, ready to play: a loud noodle slurp, a careful sip of a hot drink, the gurgle of a straw hitting the bottom, and a big satisfied gulp. Describe the one your scene is missing and Morphic generates it in seconds.
- Pitch the slurp to the drinker, a shy sip, a cartoon-loud noodle pull, or a straw hunting the last of the ice.
- A slurp recorded for your bowl and your character, not the same ramen take every food channel already uses.
- Comes back with room tone stripped out, so it sits under a close-up on the first try.
Slurp sounds for animation, games, and video edits
Noodle slurp
A long, unashamed pull of noodles off the chopsticks, the take for close-ups where eating is the whole joke.
Hot-drink sip
A careful, breathy sip over a warm cup, quiet enough to sit under dialogue in a calm kitchen scene.
Straw gurgle
The rattling suck of a straw chasing melted ice, ideal when a character has been waiting far too long.
Soup slurp
Broth pulled off a wide spoon, wetter and rounder than noodles, good for home cooking and comfort-food moments.
Big gulp
Several thirsty swallows in a row, the payoff after a run, a hot day or a very long argument.
Quick sip
One short, neat sip you can drop between lines without pulling attention away from the conversation.

Ways to use slurp sound effects
When the table goes quiet mid-meal
Between lines of dialogue a slow sip keeps a quiet kitchen alive; audio drama and visual novels both use it to hold a pause open.
Edit prompt
A noodle counter you hear before you see
Layered under chatter, repeated slurping paints a busy ramen counter for a documentary opener or a night-market street in a game.
Edit prompt
The last of a drink, just out of frame
A straw hitting the bottom of the cup says the drink is gone and the character is bored, with no shot of the cup needed at all.

FAQs
What is a slurp sound effect?
It is the recorded sound of liquid or food being sucked into the mouth: the loud wet pull of noodles, the soft airy sip of a hot drink, the rattling gurgle of a straw hitting the bottom, or the broad suck of a spoonful of soup. Each reads differently on screen, so the one you choose tells the audience what is being eaten or drunk.
Where can I get a slurp sound for a video?
Generate one rather than search for it. Describing the take you want takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact slurp your scene needs instead of the closest available clip. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom slurp sound effect?
Describe what is being slurped, how wet and loud it is, and how long it lasts, then generate it. A prompt like "a loud slurp of noodles pulled into the mouth, a wet messy suck, about two seconds" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the wording until it fits your cut.
Why do slurps sound bigger in cartoons and anime?
Slurps are often recorded close and exaggerated on purpose, because a realistic sip is too quiet to read on screen and the wet, messy version is funnier and more appetising. That is why a ramen slurp in animation sounds larger than life. Ask for a louder, messier take for comedy and a softer one for realism.
Can I use these slurp sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated rather than pulled from a shared library, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my slurp sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the intensity is wrong rather than the sound. A big messy noodle slurp laid under a shot of a quiet, polite sip feels off, because the ear expects the sound to match the action on screen. Match how loud and wet the slurp is to the picture and the result sits in the scene with far less mixing.
